Wilma.fi is a platform managing communication between schools, parents, and students, and following student information. It's widely used in Finland. People are very accustomed to its look, and in the same time it needed an update.
My role in this project was to make it look contemporary, but in a subtle way and without losing its familiar, friendly feel. Since they use their own template they needed me to redesign mainly the website's homepage, to set the direction for the rest of the website. A fine line between professional and cosy had to be found.
Along the process a couple of more modules needed to be redone – the search for schools, the event calendar, and the instagram widget.
